    Pumpkins are packed with beta-carotene (vitamin A), vitamins B6 and C, E, potassium and magnesium, all great for bone health and fighting arthritis with their anti-inflammatory properties. Pumpkins are also beneficial for the skin and coat, and their rich soluble and insoluble fiber content results in the unique ability to remedy constipation and diarrhea.

    Turmeric root has powerful medicinal anti-inflammatory properties thanks to curcumin, its main active ingredient which works by blocking the enzymes responsible for inflammation and pain throughout the body. Since chronic inflammation is the root cause of most diseases, the addition of this root plant is essential to combat conditions such as arthritis and stiffness associated with joint or muscle problems. The combination of turmeric and bromelain (the pineapple enzyme) has been shown to have even more impressive results.

    Ginger root is very effective in treating or preventing nausea and vomiting. From the same family as turmeric root, it is also a very powerful natural anti-inflammatory, recommended by holistic veterinarians for the relief of joint and muscle pain caused by osteoarthritis.

    Sweet potato is a yellow root vegetable that is full of antioxidants with anti-inflammatory properties thanks to its content of vitamins A, C and B (including choline), magnesium, fiber and amino acids. Amino acids help strengthen muscles weakened by aging and lack of exercise due to arthritis pain. Amino acids also stimulate antioxidant activity in the body, which is essential for ridding the body of free radicals that can lead to certain diseases.

    Ashwagandha is an adaptogen. It has beneficial anti-inflammatory properties in the treatment of all kinds of ailments. It acts by protecting the joints and tissues, particularly effective in the case of degenerative arthritis. It also stimulates the thyroid (good for hypothyroidism), reduces anxiety, fatigue, nervous exhaustion, and regulates the adrenal glands.

    Pineapples have effective anti-inflammatory benefits and are rich in manganese, a mineral that helps strengthen bones and joints. Pineapples also contain bromelain, an enzyme that helps break down proteins and allows them to better absorb other nutrients.

    Carrots contain more than 200 nutrients and phytonutrients such as lycopene and lutein - essential to protect the eyes against the harmful effects of free radicals and UVB rays. They are full of vitamin C and K, as well as other important nutrients including potassium, iron and manganese. They also contain a lot of fiber, antioxidants and vitamin A - essential for bone growth, reproduction, and the proper functioning of the immune system.

    Papaya is rich in vitamins A, C, E and K, and is also an excellent source of magnesium, potassium, iron and calcium. Like many super fruits, it has antioxidant properties which have protective effects on cells. Papaya is low in citric acid and easily digestible. Its anti-inflammatory properties facilitate bone health and growth, making it beneficial at all ages and suitable for helping dogs suffering from arthritis.

    Yucca contains a high content of saponins, its most therapeutic active compound which is effective in reducing inflammation, pain, joint swelling and stiffness associated with arthritis. Yucca aids digestion by helping the intestinal walls absorb minerals and vitamins. It also contains high amounts of vitamin C, beta-carotene, calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, protein and B vitamins.

    Chaga mushrooms are a real wonder for immunity. As adaptogens, they not only boost immune system function when needed, but help balance it when it's overactive. They can therefore relieve allergies and the harmful effects of autoimmune diseases including arthritis. And, because of its many anti-inflammatory properties, chagas offer great pain-relieving benefits.

    Chickpeas are a fantastic source of protein to increase muscle mass, and fiber which can quell your dog's hunger and lower their cholesterol levels. But that's not all! Chickpeas also contain potassium, vitamin K, folic acid, zinc, copper, manganese, iron, vitamins A and B6, magnesium and above all, choline, a nutrient that facilitates the transmission of nerve impulses and reduces the symptoms of chronic inflammation caused by arthritis.

    Lucuma contains as much calcium as cow's milk, making it an excellent nutrient for strong, healthy bones. It is particularly rich in polyphenols and carotenoids, two groups of antioxidants known for their anti-inflammatory benefits. It also contains zinc, iron, vitamin C, niacin (B3), fiber and 14 essential trace elements.

    The orange is a citrus fruit worthy of the term “super fruit” rich in vitamin C, potassium, folate and thiamine, while being low in sodium. It also contains hesperidin, a flavonoid rarely found in other foods, which helps optimize the benefits of vitamin C in the body. In other words, hesperidin acts as a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory at the cellular level to prevent the development of chronic diseases including arthritis.

    Cinnamon has a pleasant aroma and has many anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties beneficial to health. Rich in polyphenols, it acts by protecting the body against oxidative damage caused by free radicals. It also contains eugenol, a compound effective in healing joint tissues and therefore can work wonders in older dogs suffering from arthritis.

    The coconut contains essential fatty acids that are full of effective antioxidants to strengthen the immune system and eliminate toxins from the body. It also contains lauric acid, a fatty acid that helps fight infections and reduce allergies. Coconut also contains albumin which helps in the formation of red blood cells. Coconut has been shown to help reduce inflammation, speed up wound healing, and relieve arthritis pain.

    Napa cabbage contains calcium and potassium as well as vitamin A and C, all powerful antioxidants that protect the body against infections. Also rich in vitamin K, it is beneficial for the proper functioning of the neurological system and bone health.

    Virgin coconut oil is a superfood and natural anti-inflammatory that helps lubricate joints. Its medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) content is a good source of lauric acid; a saturated fat with antibacterial properties and benefits for the digestive and immune systems. Virgin coconut oil also provides an additional source of energy during moderate exercise, and helps maintain good muscle strength.

    Flax seeds are superfoods. As complete proteins, they are rich in lignans; Omega-3 fatty acids which are full of anti-inflammatory properties. These powerful antioxidants are essential to health and known to relieve joint pain and stiffness, two major symptoms of arthritis. They also contain good amounts of fiber and manganese.

    Chia seeds represent a complete plant protein containing nine essential amino acids that the body does not produce on its own, as well as three times more omega-3 fatty acids than salmon! They are also an excellent source of B vitamins, phosphorus, potassium, copper, iron and zinc and are full of antioxidants beneficial for the immune system, skin and coat, joints, development and maintenance brain, eyes and growth. Chia seeds are also an excellent source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which has excellent anti-inflammatory properties to reduce symptoms associated with joint pain.

    The peas are part of legumes which offer a very high quality protein, with their nine essential amino acids - valine, phenylalanine, threonine, methionine, tryptophan, isoleucine, histidine, leucine and lysine (often missing in other vegetables), vitamins, minerals , and a good source of fiber and iron. Protein is essential for building bones, muscles and tissues.

    Barley is a grain rich in antioxidants, fiber and B vitamins. Its content of phosphorus, calcium-copper, magnesium and zinc helps improve bone health. It also contains betaine, which the body then converts to choline to reduce inflammation.

    Black pepper is rich in piperine, its main active ingredient. Piperine has powerful antioxidant properties that have been shown to help combat joint inflammation. Black pepper also increases the absorption of essential nutrients like calcium and selenium, as well as some beneficial plant compounds, such as those found in turmeric.
